Musk’s journey to the top of the tech industry in the world has been a long one right from childhood till now

The CEO of Tesla companies, a business man and an inventor. He is the center of attention in the tech world these days. Apart from being termed the richest man in the world by Forbes magazine, he is also the head of a Tech revolutionary industry that is fostering technological advancement (Tesla).

Musk’s net worth is estimated by the Forbes magazine to be at $254 billion which has placed him as the riches man in the world. Here’s how his journey to success started and how it’s going.

At the age of 10, Elon Musk studied computer programing after developing an interest in computers at an earlier age.

At 12, he already developed a code for a video game called “Blaster” which he sold for $500dollars to Magazine. At this age, he was already making money from his coding games and side hustles.

1995, Elon and his brother Kimball started a web software company called Zip2 for a newspaper publishing company. Zip2 was later on sold to COMPAQ in 1999 for US$307million cash and US$34million in stock options.

1995, Elon co-founded X-COM, a money transfer tech company which later on changed its name to Paypal in 2000 after merging with another company (Confinity Inc) in silicon valley.

2000, Musk founded Space X ( exploration), a company in charge of developing and manufacturing space launch vehicles capable of self sustaining in outer space. An idea behind this was to one day be able to colonies planet Mars.

2003, Tesla Motors was founded by Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpennig. Musk came in as an investor in 2004 with an amount of $70million. Soon afterwards, he spearheaded the manufacturing of Tesla’s first electric car ‘Roadster‘ which was also a sports car.

2006, Musk co-founded SolarCity, a Tech inclined company in charge of developing and selling solar panels and solar roof tiles. It is worth noting that Musk provided the financial capital and initial concept for this company. Later on, space X developed one of their all time vehicles called Dragon which was set to be launched to outer space.

2014, Tesla developed an Autopilot car. This machine was a part of his big plan to have a self driven vehicle , one that needs no driver. Musk believed that with time the software would be able to completely operate without the aid of an active human oversight.

2016, Musk co-founded the company Neuralink, a Tech driven company centered on creating devices that can be implanted in the human brain with the aim of helping human beings keep pace with the fast advancement in artificial intelligence.

May 6, 2016 Space X successfully landed it’s Falcon 9 rocket on a drone ship after years of trial and error. This was an accomplishment towards Musk’s plan of entering Mars.

2025, Space X intends to land on Mars and secure a possible colonization of the planet which can be between 40-100years. Musk has even declared it sometimes that he will like to die in Mars.

Wives: married Justin Musk 2000 and got divorced in 2008. Married Talulah Riley 2010, divorced 2012, remarried 2013 divorced 2016. Current partner Claire Elise Boucher 2018-2022

Children: Musk has about 10children including X Æ A-12 MuskVivian Jenna WilsonExa Dark Sideræl Musk with all his wives. His first son with his first wife, Graham died at an early age.

Education: between 1989 to 1992, attended Queen’s university and the university of Pennsylvania where in he obtained a BA and Bs in Economics and Physics.
